Your driveway gates will be manufactured from handpicked Redwood Joinery grade timber. For strength your gates are traditionally mortice and tenoned. We glue the mortice and tenons with professional exterior wood glue to help prevent water ingress. We also use wooden dowels through the traditional mortice and tenon for added strength. Your products are built to last. The handpicked timber is machine planed smooth from 100mm x 50mm rough sawn timber. The driveway gates are framed, ledge & braced (FLB). The gates are designed to be side hung. These gates have a centre rebate right hand opening first towards you from the outside. The gates have a top and mid rail with a bottom rail. Please not that the gates need at least 120mm ground clearance for the Hook and Band hinges to be fitted at the bottom of the gate. The gates are also braced to help prevent sagging over time. Board quantity and width may on different width gates. Total height is to the top of the horns. We use 15mm Redwood tongue & groove boarding, the boarding is then fixed with professional exterior wood glue and four star secret pinned with stainless steel fixings. The opening gate will be on the right-hand side when viewed from the outside. Unless requested otherwise, so can be made with the pedestrian gate on the left and can be made to open inwards also.
