Our T&G gates/door frames are made using 4″x2″ timber instead of the standard 4″x1″ framework making it much stronger and longer lasting. All framework is screwed as standard rather than nailed making them very solid and hard wearing. The thickness of the T&G is ABOVE’standard’ with 19mm before machining being our norm which results in a 16mm finish. 16mm is the usual for other manufacturers which machines down to a 12mm finish… All our T&G gates/doors are made using untreated timber which can be treated by hand for an additional cost… They can be finished with an arched or flat top for no extra charge. These are roughsawn (non planed gates) and they are not fully framed, they are manufactured using roughsawn pressure treated feather edge boards mounted on a roughsawn framing, diagonally braced.
