These gates are made from PEFC renewable, sustainable, selected Scandinavian redwood joinery graded timber with morticed and tenoned joints. Tongue & groove match boarding. X25mm (finished at 20mm) for 4″ x 3″ construction gates. All our gates are supplied planed all round and ready for your choice of stain, varnish or paint. Please note that we do not offer a painting or staining service on the gates. We highly recommend using a good quality protection on the gates, such as Sadolins, Sikkens or any “oil based” but NOT “water based” products! If you are unsure of the width required, just let us know the total gap width that you have and we will make allowance for posts (if required) and ironmongery allowance within the gap size. The height of a straight top gate is to the top horizontal rail, then there is an additional 3 of horn either end on most styles of gates, so please bear this in mind if you need clearance below coping stones on brick pillars or if lining them up with fence panels etc. With arch topped gates, the height is usually to the top of the horns either side, unless you request otherwise.
