This listing is for a pair of 6 foot each leaf, half paling type entrance gates. These gates are made for domestic drives. All domestic drive gates are made from top quality kiln dried Scandinavian Redwood. Finished planed, sanded and decoratively stop chamfered on edges. All brace bars are glued, screwed and plugged so no nasty nuts and bolt end sticking out (child and pet friendly). These gates are untreated, but can be fully submerged in solvent based brown Wood Stain and Preserver to give a long lasting protection. Please Note The main (first) photo is the style of gate on offer some of the photos. Of sizes and our different styles of gates and may be extra cost. Please visit our shop if you require hinges, latches and hanging posts. We can arrange for accessories to be delivered with your gate. Wooden drive entrance gates. SIX bar Half paling type. Traditional look 6 bar farm gates, used but still good. Each gate measures Approx 5′ X 4′ which would fill an opening of Approx 10′ 6after allowing for the hinges. The one gate is fitted with a throw over drop latch that locks the gates closed together, there is a drop bolt fitted to the opposite gate to lock into floor. Gates need a good clean and possibly repainting with preserve to bring them back upto scratch. Collection only as very heavy or arrange your own collection and courier. All our gates are supplied planed all round and ready for your choice of stain, varnish or paint. Please note that we do not offer a painting or staining service on the gates. We highly recommend using a good quality protection on the gates, such as Sadolins, Sikkens or any “oil based” but NOT “water based” products! If you are unsure of the width required, just let us know the total gap width that you have and we will make allowance for posts (if required) and ironmongery allowance within the gap size. The height of a straight top gate is to the top horizontal rail, then there is an additional 3 of horn either end on most styles of gates, so please bear this in mind if you need clearance below coping stones on brick pillars or if lining them up with fence panels etc. Please let us know which side you intend to hinge your single gate (looking at the rear view), so that we can position the bracing accordingly.
